Oil Pulling is an amazing easy therapy for

-pulling out congestion in the salivary glands and stimulating saliva

-cleansing toxins from the lymph nodes in the throat area

– pulling poisons out of the brain

– removing heavy metals from the body.

I recommend to do oil pulling to treat acute problems as well as prevent any issues arising and for general health and well being

Oil Pulling help our whole digestive tract. When the salivary glands are either too dry (Vata) or congested (Kapha) we cannot produce the quality of saliva to initiate the first stages of digestion in the mouth. This  in turn impairs the rest of our digestive ability in reducing the quality and abilty  of the digestive enzymes and hydrochloric acid in the stomach  for their optional function etc

Taste is a fundamental essense of enjoying foods, and when the saliva is  impaired, the taste of healthy natural food is reduced, often leading to choices of overly salted, vinegared or artificial food flavours which are destructive to the body and create a downward spiral.
Oil Pulling : Take a tablespoon of cold pressed sesame seed oil ( or coconut oil) and swish it in your mouth – without swallowing. Spit it out after the appropriate time and rinse well with warm water if possible. Start with 5 minutes every morning and then work up to ten and then twenty.

It is best to Oil Pull first thing in the morning before taking anything into your mouth. After spitting out the toxins which have been puled into the mouth from the swishing, scrape the tongue, risnse the mouth and brush the teath with a natural toothpaste or herbs.
Sesame oil has several beneficial properties, one of which is pulling out toxins. It also has a high mineral content of calcium which helps with healing receding gums and strengthening the teeth.  Other oils work suffeciently, but traditionally sesame is recommended. The action of swishing also strengthens and tones the facial muscles – making us look younger and more radient.
